Crystal 512 Gem-PL (IPL) for Permanent Hair Removal
The Crystal 512 is different from other IPL machines and based upon Active's patented GEM-PL technology (Geometrical energy management).
The Crystal GEM technology is a unique way to deliver energy to a predetermined target.
Unlike other IPL's and lasers where the energy is scattered on the skin the GEM technology manages to concentrate the bulk of the energy in a geometrical plane positioned under the skin. This precise positioning enables a selective targeting of hair follicles, pigments vascular lesions, acne, etc.
GEM-PL technology manages to deposit most of the energy in a plane coinciding with the position of the hair follicles. The broadband enables the treatment in hair types, which are traditionally hard to treat - such as feathery hair or bright hair.
The energy concentrates in the dark areas of the follicle, coagulates it and damages its food and oxygen supply.
The broadband vascular components target the capillaries supplying nutrition to the hair follicle.
This technology is suitable for skin types 1-3 and for skin types higher than 3 requires consultation with a medical aesthetician and patch test.
Permanent hair reduction/removal can take up to 6-8 treatments with an interval of 4-6 weeks between treatments..
