PRP Skin Rejuvenation Facial
PRP or Platelet Rich Plasma is nothing but autologous blood with concentrations of platelets above baseline levels, that contain at least 7 growth factors.
Although blood is mainly a liquid (called plasma), it also contains small solid components (red cells, white cells, and platelets).
The platelets are best known for their importance in clotting blood. However, platelets also contain hundreds of proteins called growth factors which are very important in the healing of injuries.
PRP is plasma with many more platelets than what is typically found in the blood. The concentration of platelets and, thereby, the concentration of growth factors can be 5 to 10 times greater (or richer) than usual.
3 Steps of PRP Skin Rejuvenation Procedure:
First, our doctor will draw your blood from the vein
Then the blood goes through centrifugation where the red blood cells and PRP will separate.
The isolated PRP full of growth factors is injected or micro-needled into the skin, driving the growth factors into the skin & creating the stimulus for tightening and rejuvenation of the collagen of the face.
PRP Hair Restoration
During this procedure, your own Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is injected into the scalp to encourage new hair growth.
The application of PRP causes miniaturized hair follicles to become healthier and larger, producing more robust hair growth. Follicular progenitor cells become activated, and PRP is loaded with growth factors that promote the rapid development of new blood vessels and localized cell growth.
First, a blood sample is obtained which is specially processed to produce the PRP. A local anaesthetic is then administered to completely numb the scalp treatment area.
The PRP is then administered via a series of injections over the full scalp.
