Volumizing and Contouring Facial Rejuvenation

Volume loss on the face is a normal part of the aging process, but it can often alter the shape and structure of our face, giving an aged, tired appearance. You may have noticed saggy facial skin, a loss of definition and facial contours, a ‘turkey neck’ and a heavy looking lower face as the volume droops downwards? These are all common symptoms of a loss of facial volume, as the fat pads in the face shrink and our levels of collagen and elastin naturally deplete over time.
Alongside the aging process and genetics, a number of factors can also contribute to this loss of facial volume, including hormonal changes, sun damage and smoking. We can however help to replace some of the lost facial volume to restore some of the youthful proportions of the face and achieve a lifting effect.

Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers help to diminish facial lines and restore volume and fullness in the face.
Our doctors uses Restylane® and JUVÉDERM®.
These dermal fillers are based on Hyaluronic acid.
Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a naturally occurring acid in your skin. It gives your skin volume and keeps it hydrated. With age, your body stops making hyaluronic acid. Results from HA injections usually last six months to a year.
Dermal fillers add volume and is designed for different needs in specific areas of the face including lips, cheeks, chin, smile lines, undereyes, or jawline.
Many people see results of dermal fillers right away. The injections usually take less than an hour, and you can get them right in your healthcare provider’s office. Because it’s a nonsurgical treatment, recovery time is minimal.

PROFHILO®

Unlike dermal fillers, Profhilo® is not a treatment targeting isolated areas such as the cheeks or chin. Instead, it involves injections at defined points across a larger area, such as a client’s entire face. This method also enables the substance to remain in tissue up to 30 times longer, so it can deliver its effects over a longer period.
Profhilo® is frequently used as a facial treatment. However, this method can also be used to treat the neck, décolleté, hands, elbows and even the upper arms and knees.

Injecting Profhilo at defined locations provides moisture to large areas of skin. At the same time, the treatment also stimulates the production of elastin and collagen – two substances that enhance skin tone and elasticity, which minimises wrinkles and leaves skin looking younger and refreshed.

Sculptra®

As you age, collagen production diminishes and your skin doesn’t have the same resiliency and fullness it did in the past.
In fact, about 1% of collagen is lost every year throughout adult life. This can result in wrinkles, sagging and a loss of elasticity in the skin.

Sculptra® is an injectable collagen biostimulator made from Poly-L Lactic Acid (PLLA) which stimulates your body to increase its production of collagen Type 1 fibres.

Through a series of treatments, typically about three sessions over a few months, it restores the support and volume of youthful looking skin, providing results that can last up to two years.

Areas which can be treated are: face, neck and buttocks.

HArmonyCa™

HArmonyCa™ Dermal Filler. The dual effect injectable to hydrate lift and plump your skin.
This dual-effect hybrid injectable combines two powerful ingredients, hyaluronic acid (HA) and calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHa), to provide both an instant lift and long-lasting results.

What makes HArmonyCa™ unique is that it is a bio-stimulator. The cross-linked HA provides an immediate elevation of the skin, plumping out lines and wrinkles, while the CaHa stimulates collagen production in the skin to restructure, rejuvenate, and tighten the face.

Injection cosmetology

What happens during a dermal filler procedure?

Your healthcare provider cleans your skin and may apply a lotion or cream with an anesthetic. The anesthetic numbs the area so the treatment will be more comfortable. Using a thin needle, your healthcare provider injects small amounts of fillers under your skin. The needle will pinch or sting, but most people don’t experience much pain during these injections. Your healthcare provider may inject the fillers in several areas. The whole process can take a few minutes or up to an hour.

What happens after a dermal filler procedure?

After receiving dermal filler injections, your healthcare provider will cleanse your skin. They may give you an ice pack to ease pain and swelling. You may have bruises, swelling, or discomfort after getting the injections. Usually, these side effects are mild and go away in a few days. Many people see results right away after getting these injections. But everyone’s results are different. How long it takes to see results (and how long they last) depends on several factors, including the type of treatment you received.
