Are there different kinds of LED light therapy?
LED light therapy uses various wavelengths that correspond to different visible colors. Each color penetrates the skin at different depths.
  • Blue light affects the uppermost layer of your skin and is used for treating acne and papulopustular rosacea as it's known to kill bacteria.
  • Yellow light penetrates deeper and is great to reduce inflammation.
  • Green light penetrates the bottom of the epidermis and is used to treat hyperpigmentation. 
  • Red light travels further into your skin and is used to stimulate the healing process and collagen production.
