Stretch Marks (Striae)
Stretch marks, or scars that happen when your skin rapidly stretches or shrinks, typically show up as bands of lines running across your skin.
Stretch marks are very common — estimates suggest up to 90 percent of people have them. They commonly appear during or after pregnancy or after other sudden or rapid changes in your weight.

At ABC Aesthetics, we understand how important it is for people to look and feel their best. Our team provides a range of medical aesthetics services including multiple treatments to improve the appearance of stretch marks. We use the latest and most effective treatments to minimize the visibility of stretch marks and tighten the skin on the area. Our treatments are tailored to each individual, so you can be sure that you are getting the results that are right for you.

ABC Aesthetics stretch marks treatments:
  • Ablase method  (fibroblast skin tightening)This procedure showed excellent results in pulling the edges of the stretch mark together and creating supportive collagen under the stretch marks. The Ablase method is a safe and effective treatment for reducing the appearance of stretch marks on the skin, as it’s able to both tighten the skin and rewire the skin’s “memory” of scarring and discoloration.

  • RF Microneedling is another procedure that provides great results in treating stretch marks. Radiofrequency microneedling is an advanced method of skin rejuvenation that stimulates the body’s natural healing process to encourage collagen production in the dermis, resulting in skin rejuvenation and tightening. Since stretch marks disrupt the natural production of collagen, RF microneedling will not only help to restart that production, but the overproduction of elastin and collagen will help heal the damaged connective tissue in the dermis that creates the stretch mark. This treatment is also excellent for stretch marks because it penetrates the skin deep enough to create a reaction within the same layer that the stretch marks are created instead of resting on the surface.
A medical-grade serum which supports the treatment of stretch marks is used during the RF microneedling procedure.

  • MD Dermapen 4 is another option for treating stretch marks. As well as RF microneedling, dermapen treatments encourage the production and distribution of new collagen to remodel the stretch mark scar and greatly reduce its appearance. However, this treatment involves the effect of microneedling (creation of micro-channels in the skin) without an additional stimulator which is radiofrequency. A medical-grade serum which will support and enhance the treatment is applied during the treatment.
